First trip to range, with range purchased target ammo, I loved the pistol immediately. It feels very good in my hand, feels balanced, sights are sweet. I had small groups immediately. Then I had a missfeed, few rounds later I had another feed. Out of 100 rounds, I had 5 or 6 missfeeds. Unless I can get this weapon repaired and fire a few hundred rounds without a missfire, I won't feel comfortable with this pistol. I just purchased a used XD-40. I have used it as my primary concealed carry weapon in a pocket holster for about a year now. When Springfield says the XDs are point & shoot, they mean it. This is an extremely accurate gun to have such a short barrel. I have fed many types of ammo through it, and it eats them all with no FTFs exepct one, and that was using an oddball, funny-shaped tracer round. I have the XD40 Subcompact bitone (black/stainless).
