If the head of the CIA gives knowingly questionable intelligence to the Sec’y of State for presentation ot the UN, promises a slam dunk, and misleads others, wouldn’t this qualify as CIA handiwork? And if we add to this that the father of the president once ran the CIA, perhaps we do have a linkage that the CIA did this. And by all written accounts the current government is better than the old one. So Iraq may be an example of what you are looking for.

I agree with your comments about the CIA in general but then I suspect that we would not know about the successes in any case.

poison tooth paste. Basically don’t buy any food made in China as it has a good chance of having fake or poison ingredients. Meanwhile our government continues to spend billions on the war in Iraq when the real danger is the Chinese poisoning us with toxic chemicals.
