Every now and then, I buy a scratch off ticket for kicks. I just want people to understand that by and large, the lottery is a complete waste of time. It should be "for entertainment purposes" only. If a person wishes to play, then that person is held responsible to do what they wish with the winnings, if any as long as they do not hurt others while doing it. I agree the statement that the only "safe" way to avoid the problems in the article, is to not play.. but I also think that if a person wishes to play.. so be it. But the true problem is.. Most people have no clue in managing their finances. I am still paying stupid tax for past mistakes but I am getting better. But from what I read here.. even a millionaire can be stupid with their finances. Guess I am still a libertarian with this concept.
