I'll never lose faith in your mission because I know that smart, determined warriors like you will not accept failure. There's nothing misguided about freeing Iraq and sticking around long enough for her to stand on her own. The tremendous sacrifices of our citizen soldiers and their families absolutely continues to guarantee our freedom and liberty at home. The fight at home isn't over - not by a long shot! Ignorance begins to ameliorate when curiosity is piqued, so lots of troop supporters will continue kicking over rocks to expose the self-serving vermin underneath. I’m late to the party again but I don’t suppose there’s ever a bad time to say “Thanks, Trevor!”

I agree with your post and feel that, with patience, Iraq will come out of this so much better. Their democracy won't look just like ours but then ours hasn't always been pretty. I'm grateful for the courage and foresight of our Founders and for all the men and women who have had the courage and commitment to keep this wonderful experiment going forward through the years in the face of all kinds of adversity. I pray that the clear-sighted among us will prevail and that the people who use our freedom for their own ambition will be awakened as to the damage they do to our country and those who defend her before it's too late. I agree the the greatest threats to our liberty come from within the political establishment and also from the purposefully fostered ignorance of our own citizens. If we're not vigilant, we could end up with a dictatorship or a civil war, like Iraq.
