That's why I call them Japanese showers. I use that technique too. It's real easy if showers have one handle for water pressure and temperature. We have friends who came from an area where water was rationed and they kept the habits you mentioned along with others to conserve water. Health is another item not to be taken for granted, and for those talking on a cell phone while driving; add long life to the list... Good advice.
