Even when a man has courage they won't allow him to use it. I'm no Fan of the royal family, but as I understood it Harry wanted to go with his unit because they were his men. It seems to me that if the so-called Royal Family has any purpose at all it's to server as a role model. That kind of dedication to duty would have been a breath of fresh air in London. As far as specific threats go, I think he would have made great flypaper for insurgents looking to find martyrdom. And excuse me for being a cold cynic, but on the off chance that one of them got lucky I'd also note that the Brits are touchy about their royalty getting dead. Might fire them up a bit.
