I don't mind supporting the military at all, after all we are supposed to have one. But for the life of me I can't find where our Constitution states that I must support the family down the street. That family consists of a single mother and her 5 children, along with the father of 1 child. She says she'll never marry anyone as she'll lose her benefits. ACK!!! I can not cheat on my taxes.. I work for the same entinty that is taking money from me. But that does not mean that I am not concerned about what is happening. The article brings up good points.. Too bad that many in the country and our government continue to spend money on the basis of Lyndon Johnson's War on Proverty. Thaat was over 40 years old...... Citzens Against Government Waste puts out a list every year of money that congress pisses away for their own special projects in the appropriate states.

Here is what I would like to know: How much money is spent to feed,clothe, and house the poor? Nothing more than that. No school programs, Headstart, medical care, etc Compare that figure to how much money is spent on foreign aid hidden in congressional laws, agriculture, national security, commerce, and State Department programs.
